Kundapura

We are relatively new to Coastal Karnataka. Our exploration of the place began through an on-going collaborative engagement called Samagra Arogya with KHPT and seven Gram Panchayats. We have woven our learnings from place-based engagements from Bidar and Channapatna to imagining the structure of engagement - Observatory, Catalog of Interventions and Learning-adaptation-advocacy to learn and make network-based relations in Kundapura region, primarily with communities living in and around the seven GPs. In little over a year we have grown to appreciate the roles of women & children, commitment to development by GP members, fertile and surplus landscapes surrounded by rivers, hills and forests, multiple realities of caste and tribes, Spatial organisation and cultural practices.

Our filed notes, engagements and explorations are shared through Untold Town.
